We at LNI Business Technology management want to make sure whether you’re a client of ours, or not yet, that not only are you protected with a complete security suite to fit your IT Security needs, but to discuss insurance needs with your agent. As a business owner we all have insurance needs to protect our business, and depending on the business, this varies. Unfortunately, the needs change yearly with the ever-changing landscape of laws, lawsuits, and now, DATA BREACH’S.

We don’t need Cyber Insurance, or do we?

Any business, small or large, that handles or stores private customer, patient or employee information is at
risk of data breach, and depending on the quantity or type of sensitive information they handle and store
from day to day, some businesses are at a higher risk than others. These include businesses like healthcare
practices, law offices, accounting offices, retailers, restaurants, financial services, and others.
When it comes to a data breach, lost is the same as stolen. So even a missing laptop or misplaced paper file containing sensitive customer information could result in:

  • Damaged reputation
  • Temporary closing
  • The need to notify impacted parties, as may be required by law
  • Possible defense and settlement costs if you’re sued by someone impacted by the breach

(All information provided is informational, you should consult your Insurance provider for data breach insurance details, and an IT Professional for proper security best practices)
